WANGANUI MAN A REFEREE FOR EMPIRE GAMES BOXING
WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA).— The New Zealand Boxing Council announced tonight that the following officials have been appointed for the boxing section of the Empire Games: Referees: Mr. E. C. Armishaw (Auckland), Dr. J. R. J. Moore (Wanganui), Messrs. A. E. Tall .(Invercargill), H. W. Mallin (England), and E. Rigg James (Rhodesia). Judges: Messi's. S. E. Burke and GB. Nelson (Auckland), W. P. Somerville (Wellington), A. J. Lenz (Hawera), G. Wat.chorn (Manawatu), R. M. Morris and V. Parker (Otago), and H., W. Mallin (England), E. Rigg James (Rhodesia). Trainer: Mr. R. Dunn (Hutt Valley). Masseur: Mr. A. G. Bates (Auckland). Dr. Moore is president of the Wanganui Boxing Association and has been a referee at several New Zealand Boxing Championships in recent years. An enthusiastic follower o! boxing, he has done much to advance the pugilistic art in the Wanganui district.
