BRITAIN EXPECTED TO RECOGNISE CHINA
LONDON, Dec 15 (Recd 6 pm).— The British Cabinet will decide today on a date for announcing its recognition of the Communist Government in China, says Reuter’s diplomatic correspondent. It was learned from a usually reliable source that the Government had decided in principle last October to extend recognition, but the question at issue is whether a formal announcement will be made before or after the Ceylon conference of Commonwealth Foreign Ministers next month.
