Mr. K. A. Williams Is Re-Elected Chairman Of Catchment Board

MARTON, Last Night (SR).—Nominated by Mr. L. A. Mackintosh (Whangaehu), seconded by Mr. R. F. Scott (Sanson), Mr. K. A. Williams (Marton) was re-elected chairman o£ the Rangitikei Catchment Board at the annual meeting today. Mr. Williams, who represents the Marton Borough and Bulls town district, has been chairman of the board since its inception four years ago. “M.v. Williams has carired out his duties as chairman with credit to himself, board members and the ratepayers in general,” said Mr. Mackintosh. “£ feel that in him we have a very capable chairman' Mr. Scott said that Mr. Williams was now deputy-chairman of the New Zealand Catchment Board’s Association. It was evident that his knowledge of catchment board work had extended well beyond the Rangitikei district. Mr. .Williams said that he could not accomplish anything ryithout the cooperation of board members on the staff. "I feel that we have a lot of work ahead of us il we are allowed to continue,” Mr. Will'ams added. “I feel that this beard will make its mark for wi.r administration and as one that can economically spend money that has been entrusted to it."
