R.S.A. Has Made Application For A Charter Licence
That the association had made an application for a charter to the Licensing Commission but had not had any reply was reported to last night s quarterly meeting of the Wanganui Returned Services Association. Mr Giiberd said that a plan had been prepared of the building by Mr M. G. Wadey and had been submitted with the application. He said that an undertaking had been gi e to the last quarterly meeting that if the club were granted a cnarter the question of accepting it would be referred back to members if a large expenditure was necessary to carry out alterations to provide bar accommodation. Mr Giiberd said that the association’s solicitor held high hopes of the association being granted a charter. No definite information could be given to members until d- finite adv.ee was received by the association from the commission.
