D. M. HARRIS, 440 AND 880 YARDS CHAMPION, IS STILL ON INJURED LIST
AUCKLAND, Last Night (P.A.)— Inflammation to the nerve in the left foot, has necessitated the withdrawal of D. M. Harris, national 440 and 880 yards athletic record holder, from the
Auckland half-mile championship on Saturday. The injury has been indirectly caused by a spiked achilles tendon which he received while running in the 800 metres at the Olympic Games last year. Harris has been advised to have complete rest for a week and then to do a week’s gentle work. He will then be advised whether to continue running or have a complete rest.
