Removal Of Sales Tax Welcome
WELLINGTON, Last Night (P.A.) —Mr. Holland’s announcement that sales tax is to be removed off certain household appliances, including crockery, was welcomed today by the New Zealand Retailers Federation. It pointed out that the prices of crockery had recently increased at Home and the removal of sales tax would help offset this increase, and so maintain prices here at today’s level.
