Former Clerk Of Court Admits Theft Of £46
WELLINGTON, Yesterday (PA).— A former clerk of the Wellington Magistrate’s Court and an employee of the Justice Department for nine years, Rodney Walter Potts, aged 27, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court today with stealing £46 15s 7d. Senior Detective Callaghan said accused was in charge of the Court’s stamp imprest account, and also had access to the law trust account, and t hat money of one account and his salary were used to cover up amounts he had taken. I n an explanation to the police, Potts said he had had to pay exorbitant hotel costs in Wellington. Mr. J. Hessell, S.M., admitted accused to probatinn for 18 months and ordered that he abstain from liquor during that period*
