Prime Minister’s Son Returns To N.Z.
WELLINGTON, Yesterday (PA).— A son of the new Prime Minister, Dr. G. W. Holland, of Christchurch, returned from a short visit to Australia in the Monowai today, and will resume his duties at the Christchurch Hospital. Dr. Holland spoke to his father by radio telephone from Adelaide on election night and, despite numerous inland calls to the victorious Nationalist leader, got his call promptly through.
Dr. Holland disavows any knowledge of politics. As few fellow passengers knew of his relationship to the New Zealand Prime Minister, Dr. Holland was able to take an unobtrusive view of the reception accorded the Australian election results announced during the course of the Monowai’s voyage. When he first went to Australia, he said, few of the people be met thought Labour would be defeat ed there, but as the campaign pro* grossed it became apparent that other parties were making up ground,
