Record Training Of Air Pilots
HAMILTON, Last Night (PA).— With 101 pilots trained to solo stage in the three years’ activity since the war, the Waikato Aero Club has established what is believed to be a re cord for a single instructor club ir. the Dominion. The instructor, Mr Guy Robertson, trained over 100 Air Force pilots during the war in addition, so that i?e has now taught 200 to fly. He is the most experienced Tiger Molh pilot in New Zealand, having logged 3500 hours on this type of machine. Machines of the club have flown hours equivalent to 700,000 air miles during the three years. There has never been a serious mishap and none of the personnel has been injured.
