CAPETOWN, Dec 13 (Recd 1 am). —ln an exciting finish Australia defeated Transvaal at Johannesburg by 15 runs.
Warm sunshine early this, morning hardened the pitch, but it was badly cut and marked both ends and still a howler’s wicket. lan Johnson and Noblct shared honours in dismissing the remaining Transvaal batsmen. Athol Rowan played tenaciously and was top scorer with 15 not out
