Ellerslie Jockeys May Ride In First And Third Divisions
With upwards of 60 horses engaged in the opening event at Ellerslie on Boxing Day. the Robinson Handicap, there may be a dearth of jockeys, especially as there will also be racing that day at New Plymouth and Awapuni in the North Island. Under the circumstances the Auckland Racing Club has been granted permission to waive the rule that jockeys n } a Y not ride in two divisions. Provision nas been made for three divisions, and il necessary jockeys who ride in the first division may also accept a mount in the third division.
