Final count in the Waimarino electorate resulted:— P. Kearins (Labour) .. 7319 A. H. MacPherson (National) 7117 Majority for Kearins 202 Informal 92 At the election in 1946 Mr. Kearins polled 6755 votes and his National opponent (Mr. Hill) 6074, giving Mr. Kearins a majority of 681. His majority on this occasion is thus 479 less than three years ago.
