Som** Are Hopeless At Examinations
At the annual prize-giving at St. George’s School yesterday the headmaster, Mr Tyndale-Biscoe, said that certain pupils were hcpeless at examinations. They knew the work but could not apply their thoughts to paper. Others slacked throughout the year and came out on top. The emphasis at the school was on wide reading. Many educational films were shown, which were a helpful way of imparting knowledge. In addition, many visits to educational places of interest in the city had been made. “All this is most valuable and helps to arouse interest, and our duty as teachers is to aroase interest,” he said.
