Kinross, the 1 retiring principal of the Turakina | Maori Girls’ College when reminisi cencing at the annual break-up in 1 Marton yesterday afternoon. | The pupils were invited to the as--1 sembly on occasions when it met at i Palmerston North and Wanganui, said Miss Kinross, but perhaps the greatest ‘ occasion of all was at Auckland in ; : 1942 when the Maori Missions SuperI intendent was Moderator of the Gen1 ' eral Assembly and a party of girls * was privileged to take part in the I j Maori Missions demonstration before j the Assembly. ? ‘ It was in these days that the school i ] had been kept before the church and ? something of the church’s great work r had been presented to the girls, said | Miss Kinross.
