Rugby Union Profits On Big Matches
WELLINGTON, Last Night (P.A.) —A profit to the N.Z.R.U. of £B2l on the North v. South match at Christchurch was described by the executive members today as most satisfactory. The gross gate was £1794. t A gross gate of £2236 for the Australia v. Canterbury match was regarded as excellent for a mid-week fixture. Other gross gates notified for matches against Australia were £1561 lor Invercargill and £1139 for Palmerston North.
