EXTINCTION THREAT FOR GERMANY’S JEWS

LONDON. Nov 9 (Recd 7.35 pm).—The Frankfurt correspondent of the “Daily Mail” says the Jewish population of Germany, which in 1933 stood at more than 500,000. is now only 20,000, according to an American survey. More than 7000 of them live in Berlin, which, before the Hitler era had been 100,000. Frankfurt, which had the second largest colony, now has only 360 Jews. An official report on the survey’s findings says that Germany’s Jewish community is threatened with extinction. Thirty-four per cent, of the Jews are over 55 years of age.
