Wham; medal round. H. Frew; bogev round. C. Mortland; medal round, A'. C. Joblin; Stableford bogey, R. Mortland, The above winners were presented with trophies at the golf closing on Sunday. OTAIHAPE ALPINE CLUB SOCIAL EVENING. A social evening in honour of Mr. D. Bond, who is to be married shortly, was held in the Fighting Forces Club on Friday under the auspices of the Otaihape Alpine Club, of which Mr. Bond is a member. The function took the form of a dance, the music being provided by Mr. D. George. The M.C. was Mr. John Hesketh. Musical items were given by Mr. John Infield. During an interval the president, Dr. A. N. White, presented Mr. Bond ■with a bedside lamp on behalf of the club and wished him every happiness and success in his married life. Mr. Bond feelingly responded. AIRWAYS AGENCY. The National Airways Corporation has appointed Wilson’s (Rangitikei) Ltd. as the corporation’s passenger agent in Taihape and arrangements will be made for the booking of seats locally for air travel through this firm. Further details will be announced later. PERSONAL. The death has occurred a t the Home of Compassion, Wellington, of Rev. Father Cornelius Harnett, a former parish priest a t Taihape where he was well known and highly respected
