The company had contracted to buy property so that it could expand its business to Hamilton, but the price had been reduced to a figure at which the vendor was very understandably not willing to complete the deal. “The D.LC. is deprived of what we felt sure would have been a profitable expansion of our business, and (Hamilton loses a worthwhile addition to its commercial life,” said Mr. Paterson.
