IN pursuance of the Electoral Act, 1927, I, CHARLES HASTINGS BUTCHER, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of WAIMARINO, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the 7th day of November, 1949, under the hand ol the Clerk of Writs, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as member for the said district, and that the latest hour for receiving nominations of candidates will be noon on the 16th day ol November, 1949, and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling-places of the said district on the 30th day of November, 1949. Nominations of persons to' appoint scrutineers in accordance with • the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, in respect of each of the said proposals must be lodged with me not lated than five o'clock in the afternoon of the 23rd day of November, 1949.
