A request that the council should cut down the trees in the triangular , plot at the intersection o£ the Rapar.ui Road with the main road and for I the removal of the fence was received ' from the Automobile Association ) (Wanganui) at yesterday's meeting) of the Waitotara County Council. | The association suggested that the ; plot should be planted in grass and a i low kerb provided. The visibility 1 would then be 100 per cent, and in ! the event of a sudden change of di- i rection being necessary the grass plot j could be used to avoid an accident. ! The letter stated that the president (Mr G. W. Sampson), the secretary i 1 (Mr F. J. Hill) and the chief patrol, could wait on the council if necessary |
