N.Z. Baptist W.M.U. Conference

Two hundred delegates from all over the Dominion attended the annual meeting of the New Zealand Baptist Women's Missionary Union held in the Baptist Tabernacle, Auckland, last week. The Dominion president, Mrs J. Newell, presided. It was reported that the membership in the 86 branches totalled 2050. Dr. Nola Ivory, Miss M. Turner, missionaries who have returned from India, and Miss M. Howman, of London, were specially welcomed. Greeetings from the national president of the British Baptist Women’s League were given by Mrs Howman. Mrs F. M. Stewart, of Feilding, was elected Dominion president. Others elected were: Vicepresident, Miss E. M. Cainsford, Christchurch; secretary, Mrs D. Binnie, Auckland: treasurer, Miss D. Gaze, Auckland. I
