SIX CZECHS HANGED Alleged Plotters Of Government Overthrow
PRAGUE, Nev. 5 (Reed. 6 pm' Six Czechs convicted as ringleaders of an alleged armed plot to overthrow the Communist led Government have been hanged, it was officially announced today, The men were “just at the point of executing a well-prepared revolt,” when the police caught them, the Government alleged. Details of the plot were not disclosed until after the defendants had been tried in secret and sentenced by* the Prague State Court. The Government charged that the plotters were in league with “a western imperialist power.” Som c of those hanged held prominent positions in Cech public affairs before Communist assumption of power. They included Mr. Josef Charvat, former chief of the Prague security policy. Dr. Joraslav Borkovec, a prominent lawyer.—Associated Press.
