Echo In Paris Of Chinese War

PARIS, Nov. 5 (Recd. 6pm)—A new Chinese war has broken out here, with casualties so far comprising black eyes and bruises among nine Communist members of the Chinese Embassy staff. The trouble began at a bar at the Embassy last night, when there was a scuffle between Chinese Nationalist sympathisers and pro-Communists. The Communists were thrown out. The Chinese Charge d’Affaires appealed for French intervention, and a dozen hefty French policemen arrived at the Embassy today. When the black-eyed Communists arrived this morning they were not allowed into the Embassy, and turned down an offer to send two representatives inrid® to a "peace conference.”—British United Press.
