Waverley Chamber of Commerce
A draft of the proposed objects and rules was formally approved at the monthly meeting of the newly-formed Waverley Chamber of Commerce. The meeting dealt with the raising of funds for the erection of a grandstand at the Recreation Ground, and the executive was instructed to enlist the support of other local organisations who had previously considered the same matter. The meeting was well attended, and confirmed the opinion that the formation of a chamber (would be a progressive step and eventually justify the optimism of those responsible for its inception.
