MORE COMMUNIST GAINS IN CHINA
HONGKONG, July 25 (Recd. 6pm). —Advice was received from Changsha, the Hunan provincial capital, this morning that the Communists are five [miles from the city on the east side. The capture of Lienhwa, an important railway town 120 miles east of Hengyang. by Communists was officially admitted by the Chinese military news agency today.» The Communists’ immediate objective is Chuchow, on the railway south of Changsha and they were only ten miles from Chochfrw this morning. The fall of Chuchow will isolate Changsha. The military news agency also reported a Communist drive up the Yangtse from lehang toward Tzukwei. —Reuter.
