.LONDON, July 18 There was some unexpected excitement. when the Antarctic survey ship. John Biscoe, berthed at Southampton, bringing back a number of rare wild • fowl captured in seas around the Falkland Island dependencies. First, a sheath bill, which had had its wings clipped to prevent its escape. fell over the side of the ship into the dock and had to be rescued by a motor launch Then a large turkey vulture which was being photo- : graphed suddenly look to the air and landed upon the startled photographer’s shou ! ders Both birds were; I subsequently sent to the London Zoo. | —Special N.Z.P.A.
