Anglicans Support The Principle Of Compulsory Military Training
WELLINGTON, Yesterday (PA).— The principle of compulsory military training was approved last night by the Anglican Diocesan Synod after a debate in open synod. The following motion was carried:—
“That this synod supports the principle of compulsory military training, with due safeguards for the rights ana conscience of those who object to military service, and for the economic rights of those who enter training camps, and asks church people to consider prayerfully the special proposal for training which is about to be settled by referendum.”
