TITO CONFIDENT OF KEEPING YUGOSLAVIA INDEPENDENT ‘FROM ALL’

NEW YORK, July 22 (Recd 6 pm).—Mr. Sava Kosanovich, Ygoslav Ambassador to the United States, said today that Marshal Tito was confident of keeping Yugoslavia independent “from everybody." Mr Kosanovich arrived in New York by plane from Belgrade after consultation with his Government. . Asked if he meant independence from Russia, Mr. Kosanovich replied: “Independence from everybody. We are not in the Soviet orbit, nor are we a Soviet satellite."
