RUSSIA AGAINST HEADS OF BALKANS MEETING ON PEACE TREATY
LONDON, July 22 (Recd 6 pm).The Moscow radio today broadcast the text of a Soviet Note 1o Britain land the United States’rejecting for a [second time a request that the heads jof th e “Big Three” diplomatic missions |in Bulgaria, Hungary and Rumania. ' should meet to consider alleged treaty violations. ! The Note said Britain and the United States had produced no new evidence of peace treaty violations to support their renewed request. In April of this year Britain and the United State-* sent Notes to Bulgaria Rumania and Hungary alleging that they had violated the “freedom” clauses of their peace treaties. The Soviet Government replied that the measures to which Britain and the United States objected were in accordance with treaty obligations tc disband organisations of a Fascist type. Russia’s latest rejection of the plan for a meeting of the heads of the thre e Powers Diplomatic Missions repeats the argument of the first rejection and ads: “The Soviet. Union sees no reason to reconsider its decision.’’ * —Reuter.
