A meeting of the committee of the Sanson Recreational Club was held during the week, for the purpose of reviewing the progress of the club and a discussion on future programmes. Members expressed themselves as being satisfied with the support being given the club, and :t was agreed to hold a visa-versa fancy dress social evening on Saturday next, July 9, with novelty dances, games and cards, etc. The Te Kauwau Ladies’ Hockey Club competed in the Wanganui Women's Hockey Association tournament on Saturday last, the A team playing well and reaching the semifinal. When time was called no score had been registered in this game with Excelsior A (Masterton), but Excelsior registered a hit behind to give them victory.
