Wanganui Women’s Bowling Club; Annual Meeting Held
| Presided over by Mrs. Dennison, the annual meeting of the Wanganui Women’s Bowling Club was held on Saturday. In submitting her report she acknowledged the support and co- , operation received from Mrs. Dempster (secretary), Mrs. Pluck (green superintendent) and her band of workers, Mr. Hawkins (green supervisor), Mr. Rickards (greenkeeper) and Mr. Gray, and Mr. Howard. Mrs. Dennison congratulated the winners of trophies won last season and said the season had been a most enjoyable one. Satisfaction was expressed at the new pavilion. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mrs. Pluck; vice-president, Mrs. Farr; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Dempster (re-elected); management committee, Mesdames Verry, Hawkins, Joyce, Haggie, Dennison, Gray and Congreve; green superintendents, Mesdames Hawkins and Congreve; selectors, Mesdames Dempster, Dennison and Verry; tea conveners, Mrs. Grooby; coach, Mrs. Pluck; delegates ito centre, Mesdames Dempster and Joyce; auditor, Mr. A. Bamford.
