Taranaki Team To Play Wanganui Colts In Badminton Match
NEW PLYMOUTH Last Night (DC) —The following Taranaki B team has been chosen to play a Wanganui colts’ team in a badminton match at Wanganui next Saturday afternoon: N. Hutton, J. Wallace, I. Hill, R. Telfar, N. Williams, M. Harrison, Misses W. Rowles, R. Ross, E. Whitehead, Mesdames W. Glenn, D. Harriss and Miss M. Lyon. The Taranaki selectors have chosen a number of promising younger players, particularly among the men, at the suggestion of the Wanganui Badminton Association, which wishes to give some of the younger Wanganui players a try-out. A Taranaki A team will play Mana-watu-Oroua in a Wisden Cup match al Wanganui on Saturday night.
