Reported Uranium Deposits In Australia Being Investigated
MELBOURNE, May 30 (Recd. 8 pm).—Commonwealth geologists are investigating reports of vasl uranium deposits in the Hartz Ranges, 200 miles north-east of Alice Springs. Senator Armstrong, Minister of Supply and Development, said it was too early to make prediction, but that good prospects were apparent. The ore is heavy black stone, which for years mica miners have been throwing away. The deposits are stated to extend over 100 square miles.
