SYDNEY. May 29 (Rec. 8 p.m.)— The Australian team for the first test is described as one of “shock selections and omissions.” It is:— Full-back: B. Piper. Three-quarters (four): C. Eastes, T. I Allan, J. Blomley. C. Davis. i Five-eighth: E. Broad. I Half-back: Cawsey. Forwards: C. Windon, K. Cross, P. I Harvey. N. Shehadie. E. Tweedale, E. Davis, J. Baxter, and M. Cottrell. All are of New South Wales except Broad and Hnrvey (Queensland), and • E. Davis (Victoria).
