SEARCH FOR MISSING BOY INTENSIFIED, BUT WITHOUT SUCCESS

MARTON, Last Night (OC).—• In spite of an intensive search at the week-end by police, civilians find R.N.Z.A.F. personnel from Ohakea, no trace had been found up to tonight of Trevor Raymond Abbott, seven-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs S. A. Abbott, Tangimoana. The boy has been missing from his home since Wednesday afternoon and the search was intensified on Saturday, when 100 men were taking part. They concentrated on the Rang.tikei River and on tile sea coast on both sides of the river mouth. The search was continued in these areas today, but without result. It will be continued tomorrow. The boy left home at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and has not been seen since. Members of the Tangimoana Women’s Institute opened a canteen in a hall in the township and have kept the searchers supplied with tea, which has been much appreciated.
