WANGANUI BOWLING CLUB CLOSES ITS GREENS FUR SEASON

On Saturday last, at the afternoon tea break on the Wanganui Bowling Club's green, the president (Mr. D. Orren Hales) mentioned that the committee had decided that the greens be closed that day for the season. H e stated that all members would, no doubt agree that the season had been a most happy and successful one.

He expressed his thanks to members for their assistance rendered to the officials and the committee during the season. He also paid a tribute to the green superintendent (Mr. W. J. Stone) for the care and attention given to the preparations of the greens which had resulted in the highest praise, not only Horn members, but also from visitors from various parts of the Dominion, as well as from overseas.
