Good Golf Seen In Match Between Wanganui And C’cliff
Good scoring was a feature of the Wanganui and Castlecliff interclub match played on Saturday. The suburban club's seniors played well to hold the Wanganui seniors to a drawn match, Castlecliff winning 9 singles and 4 four-balls to Wanganui’s 8 singles and 5 fourballs with 3 singles and 1 four-ball all square. Wanganui juniors on their home course proved too strong for Castlecliff juniors, winning 12 singles and 1 four-balls to Castlecliff’s 5 singles and 2 four-balls. After the matches the visiting teams were entertained and appreciation was recorded in an atmosphere of anticipation of the return visits to take place during August.
