Yugoslavia Fears Rift In The Cominform
BELGRADE, April 30 (Rec. 6 p.m.) The Central Committee of the Yugoslav Communist. Party declared in a May Day proclamation today that a rift in the Cominform was more dangerous to the future of Communism than the opposition of the capitalist world. The proclamation said the imperial- : .s were suffering “hard blows” in China and this was altering world relationships in favour of Communism, but “Communism - ' was now menaced by a new danger from its own internal ideological and political division and confusion.” The monstrous campaign of the Cominform against Yugoslavia was contrary to the very essence of Socialism, said the proclamation, which ended with a call to the Yugoslav people to redouble their efforts to construct Socialism.
