Waverley Inquiry
At the Waverley meeting on Saturday an inquiry was held into the fall of Arvastep (H. J. Mills) about a furlong from the rini.Ji in the Besley Memorial. It was found that the fall was purely accidental, due to Atomic (M. Thurston) hanging out- Arvastep being squeezed between Atomic and Mr Pym (R. A. Bowness). It was decided that R. Brough, owner-trainer of Atomic- be advised to engage a stronger rider for Atomic in future.
