Technical College Workshop Alterations
“We are rapidly approaching the stage when classes can be accommodated in both senior and junior engineering workshops" said the principal, Mr. J. Dash, at the monthly meeting of the Wanganui Technical College Board of Managers last night. “Some equipment has yet to be installed in both shops and we still await the two 6-inch Colchester master lathes. Work still to be approved of includes interior painting, the reorganisation of the lighting of the senior shop, and the improvement of washing facilities. ‘‘The Education Department has made available a supplementary grant of £729 16s 9d to cover the
estimated costs of work connected with this reconditioning of the workshops. A grant of £45 12s lOd has alsc been provided to cover the cost ol equipment for the biology laboratory,’ added Mr. Dash.
