Good Market In All Sections At Wanganui Stock Sale

A larger attendance than usual with many outside buyers was offered a good yarding in all sections at Freeman R. Jackson and Co.’s Wanganui sale yesterday. Good fat and store sheep sold well at lully up to late rates but small and hard done lambs were rather neglected. The yarding of cattle was good for the time of tne year and there was a keen sale with a good clearance. In the pig section, the yarding was the heaviest for some time and a total clearance was made under the hammer. Fat pigs comprised 75 per cent, of the yarding. Vealers and runners sold well over a heavy yarding, i graziers competing with the butchers' for well bred weaners. Prices were as follow: Sheep.—Fat wethers, to 445; ’Down! cross, to 40s; fat ewes, to 30s; store I 4-tooth wethers, 42s 8d; 4 and 6-tooth I ewes mated Romney rams, 42s;'
