LONDON, April 22 (Rec. 5.30 pm).—“lf we want to make Britain a real industrial democracy, unions must shoulder their full responsibility,” said the Prime Minister (Mr. Attlee) at the diamond jubilee dinner of the National Union of the General and Municipal Workers. “The tendency when things get very big is to leave it to the other chap,” he said. “You cannot ?un democracy on those lines. We are living in critical days and need the courage, faith and vision of the early pioneers.
