Governor-General Touring Far North
WHANGAREI, Yesterday (PA).--The Governor-General, accompanied by Lady Freyberg, is making his first official lour of the Far North. Yesterday he visited Kaitaia, where he was accorded a civic welcome and inspected schools, Scouts, Guides and other organisations. During the evening Sir Bernard Freyberg attended an informal gathering of ex-servicemen-meeting many who had served under him in Africa an;', Italy. Today the Vice-Regal party is making a private visit to Ninety Mile Beach and the Cape Reinga lighthouse. On returning south they will visit Kaeo.
