AUCKLAND MEETING AT ELLERSLIE
Opening Day At Feilding
The Easter holiday period will be marked by racing and trotting meetings in various parts of New Zealand, in addition to which there will be the big A.J.C. autumn fixture at Randwiek.
Most important of the Dominion fixtures will be that at Ellerslie, where the £5OOO Easter Handicap will be decided today. Also on the card for today are the Great Northern Oaks and the Great Northern Champagne Stakes. Nearer home for Wanganui followers of racing there will be the Feilding meeting, with the Feilding Cup as the feature event, and the Wairarapa meeting at Tauherenikau, where the Easter Handicap will be the main race. There will also be racing at Rotorua, and in the South Island fixtures will be held at Riverton (three days) and Beaumont, with the three-day C.J.C. meeting to open on Monday at Rieearton. The light-harness community will be catered for at Hawera and Addington.
