Polish Move To Give States Right To Ban Correspondents Lost
NEW YORK, April 14 (Recd. Bpm). —The United Nations General Assembly’s Social Committee today defeated a Polish proposal to allow Governments to ban correspondents who wtere connected with Fascist or Nazi organisations- or who are “known for their slanderous statements.” Poland sought the inclusion of these proposals in a proposed international convention on news gathering. The committee adopted an article calling jn States to facilitate the freest posable movement of correspondents.
