Men Injured When Car Collides With Safety Zone

Two visitors to the city received slight injuries last night when their motor-car collided with the safety zone at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Maria Place. They were Mr. D. Vaughan, of Donald Road, Masterton, and Mr. N. J. McNicol, of High Street, Masterton. The accident occurred at 9 p.m. Mr. Vaughan received head injuries and an injury to his left knee and Mr. McNicol received facial injuries. Both men were taken to the Wanganui Public Hospital by ambulance, where they received treatment at the outpatients’ department. The front of the car was damaged by the impact. A third man in the car was not injured.
