Watersiders Want Early Meeting Of Water front Authority
WELLINGTON, Last Night 'P.A.I - An early meeting of the Waterfront Industry Authority to discuss wages and other matters affecting the waterfront was requested in a letter sent to rhe chairman, Judge Dalglish, by the secretary of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union, Mr. T. Hill, today. Judge Dalglish has replied stating that he wifi bp out of town until April 26. that the request cannot be given attention before then, and that it will be considered in the fight of the facts as they then stand. The chairman, in his letter, reminded the union that at its meeting on April 4 the authority was adjourned until after the question of continuance of commission control on the waterfront was determined by the Government.
