SELECTION OF SITE FOR SANATORIUM
Committee Must Take Some Blame For Delay NEW PLYMOUTH Last Night (PAi —Criticism of the Western Hospital Districts Joint Sanatorium Committee was expressed by the chairman of the Hawera Hospital Board, Mr H. Thrush, at a board meeting today, when discussing the recently announced selection ol a site for a sanatorium at Levin. “I don't know whether we can altogether excuse the selection committee for the long delay in selecting the site.” he declared. “It is unfortunate that a site was not selected years ago.” At one stage it did not appear as if any satisfactory decision would be arrived at as the site was still to be surveyed, he said- to ensure that it would be suitable, anti it would not be known until the next meeting ot the Joint Committee what size the sanatorium would be. If nothing unforeseen was encountered, however, he believed the site should prove very satisfactory.
