Wanganui Defence Rifle Club Shoot
On Saturday club members competed for the championship pairs and Hughes Cup. There was a large attendance and despite a changing light and a variable wind, some excellent | scores were recorded. There were four possibles, two at 300 yards by A. Bowen and M. Jones, and two at 500 yards by Miss Y. Anderson and W. Howard. The Hughes Cup presented to the winning pair in the Championship Pairs was won by L. Garner and D. Monk with 186. Runners-up: M. Jones and L. Ahern with 184 each win a Soler Trophy.
