Britain Bargaining With Argentine

BUENOS AIRES. Feb. 22 <Rec. 8 pjn.)—British and Argentine trade experts began bargaining today on the biggest An gio- Ar gen tine trade deal since the war. Argentina was reported to be asking that payments for meat shipments to Britain be increased by as much as 40 per cent, and that part payment be made in dollars or convertible currencies.

It is reported also that Argentina would ask for a five-year pact with annual revision of prices, but Britain. with development of the Dominion and Colonial cattle supply in prospect, would prefer to keep the present arrangement of yearly contracts.
